Your job

LEDs, leased lighting solutions, the Internet of Things: our industry and the Zumtobel Group are changing rapidly. We in IT play a central role, ensuring optimum workflows in a fast-moving environment. We take existing business processes to the next level and, where necessary, we also subject everything to a total rethink, from the supply chain through to financing.

Our IT-Team: Consolidated expertise in an informal setting
We currently have about 160 colleagues in Corporate IT who are responsible for process management, IT applications and IT infrastructure. In specialised subgroups, we optimize the Zumtobel Group on base of modern SAP systems. It’s a very informal setup: we are on first-name terms and – most importantly – we provide mutual support. Newcomers always appreciate that. We work in light-infused open-plan offices in an architectural gem of a building with a fantastic roof terrace that has hosted many barbecues.

Support for the IT team
The Zumtobel Group is making itself fit for the future and has launched a comprehensive digitization strategy. We are modernizing our processes and IT systems from the ground up. We are looking for support for our international agile project team.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work on a new configuration management strategy based on SAP LOVC and bring this important tool to a new level for our customers.

• You will be responsible for Requirements gathering, implementing and supporting with the launch process for product and system configuration management and related processes.
• You will be responsible for supporting and enhancing existing IT solutions in the areas of product and system configuration management based on SAP LOVC.
• Working closely with stakeholders from various departments such as Sales, Product Management and R&D, you will understand the business requirements and ensure that our current and future configuration system meets the business needs.
• You will also be responsible for the quality assurance of concepts, specifications, prototypes and documentation, ensuring the maintainability, performance and reliability of the corresponding IT solutions.
• Last but not least, you will be involved in the design, extension and support of interfaces to and from product/system configurators and facilitating interaction for current systems.
   

Your profile

Are you well-versed in project management and familiar with product configuration in SAP LOVC? Then you have the best prerequisites to become a successful Product and System Configuration Engineer (m/f/x).

• To take advantage of this interesting opportunity, you have a degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science or a comparable qualification and have several years of professional experience.
• You also have in-depth knowledge of project and change management in the area of software solutions.
• You have experience in the development and/or implementation of Fori Apps.
• Knowledge in SAP integration with 3rd-party-tools for SAP variant configuration is an advantage.
• You are familiar with methods and processes in IT software development.
• Ideally you will have some basic knowledge in web technologies like HTML, XML, JavaScript or SQL.
• You master challenges to find the best solutions in a demanding system environment.
• You are fluent in English, additional German skills will be an advantage.
