Modelling & Simulation Expert (m/f/x)

Tridonic, the Zumtobel Group's technology company, is a leading global player in the field of lighting technology that produces innovative hardware and software for smart and connected lighting systems.

Your job

This multifaceted position is for modeling experts with an affinity for simulation-based product development and improvement.

In this position you will be responsible for thermal feasibility studies and thermal optimization of our electronic components for lighting solutions.
You will advise and support our development engineers on thermal design throughout the product development process.
In addition, you will create digital twins of existing hardware and implement service models (e.g. predictive maintenance) and process optimizations based on them.
You acquire new internal customers for our modeling services through presentations and active stakeholder management,.
Due to your independent way of working and competence, you continuously advance our existing simulation workflows and methods.
Last but not least, you will support the optimization of our magnetic components by simulating electromagnetic fields using modern FEM software.

Your profile

You are passionate about working with numerical calculation tools and inspire your colleagues for the added value of quantitative modeling for product design.

You have a degree in mechatronics, electronics, mechanical engineering, physics or a comparable field of study.
You already have several years of professional experience in a relevant field, ideally in electronics development.
You are familiar with object-oriented programming, measurement procedures and numerical simulation methods such as FEM, as well as with numerical analysis tools like ANSYS.
You have excellent analytical skills, focus on the essentials and excel in working independently and proactively.
You also have a communicative, winning and committed personality and know how to generate interest in your work in the organization through occasional technical presentations.
You enjoy working in an international team, speak fluent English and have a good command of German.
