What You'll Do
In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure that all Hilti entities and functions globally conduct their activities in line with applicable customs, sanctions, and export control regulations, as well as Hilti’s internal compliance policies. You will coordinate the local implementation of Hilti’s global trade compliance framework across our regional organizations, contributing to governance responsibilities under the lead business structures. You will also provide expert guidance and training to ensure proper understanding and execution of compliance requirements across all levels.

Your key responsibilities:
Own and develop global customs and trade compliance processes and policiesLead and contribute to cross-functional process improvement and digitalization initiativesAct as process owner and bridge between business and IT for customs-related topicsCollaborate with local customs experts to harmonize standards and drive continuous improvementMonitor regulatory developments and ensure timely adaptation of customs processesDevelop and maintain process documentation and training materialsServe as a central point of contact for customs and export control compliance topics across countries and regionsSupport the creation and rollout of written instructions and procedures for trade complianceHelp define and implement risk-based governance structures for trade compliance and provide training to local teams

What You'll Bring

  • Master’s degree in logistics, international trade, Industrial Engineering, law or a related field
  • Proven experience in customs or global trade compliance, ideally in a B2B environment; familiarity with Swiss, EU, and US export control laws is preferred
  • Experience working with legal, procurement, or audit functions; skilled in building governance and risk management frameworks
  • Proficient in MIC trade compliance software and SAP S/4HANA
  • Excellent English and German skills; strong communicator with a passion for cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Proven project management experience in a cross-functional and global setting
